Crime Prevention

It is a sad state of affairs for our community that crime does occur, although it is important to stress thatcrime is actually decreasing. As allotment holders we can do our bit to take some simple actions that may prevent or reduce crime and disorder occuring.

Security Marking

Ultra Violet Pens - For a few pence you can purchase a UV pen and mark your property with your post code and house number.

SmartWater - It’s quite simple. When you subscribe to SmartWater, their scientists will create a unique forensic solution that they register to your home or business. When you receive the forensic solution, you simply paint it onto your most valuable and treasured items. Then, most important of all, you put their warning signs up, as they are a proven and powerful deterrent.

Immobilise - Register your property and if your registered item is lost or stolen, use Immobilise to instantly tell police, insurers, and the second-hand trade. These actions can help greatly in the recovery of your property and capture of thieves.
